Do you have a size chart? Because we are a boutique, we buy our clothing from a variety of suppliers and don't design our own clothes (yet), so sizing and fit varies from item to item. Each item will have individual measurements in the description section on each page. If you have additional questions about a specific item's sizing, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How are measurements taken for each clothing item? All of our measurements are taken while garment is laying down on a flat surface. The measurement taken is the minimum size it will fit--each article will usually stretch a little bit and fit within a range of sizes. Bust is measured from armpit to armpit and doubled. Waist for tops, dresses, and jumpsuits is measured 6 inches below the armpit seam, or at the smallest part of the garment and doubled. Waist for pants and skirts is measured at the waistband and doubled. Length for tops and dresses is measured from the highest point of the shoulder seam to the hem. Length for skirts is measured from the waistband to the hem. Length for pants is the inseam measurement.
Do you carry plus sizes/extended sizing? It's in the works! We're slowly adding more pieces, so keep checking back! As previously mentioned, we do not design our own clothing, but buy from suppliers. With this comes issues like lack of extended sizing, especially in the items that we choose for our shop. We are very picky with what we choose, ensuring quality, style, and comfort, and it can be a tedious and frustrating process at times. We want to be able to dress all body types and styles, but it's a work in progress. We appreciate your patience!
How do I hand wash my clothes? Most of our clothes are hand wash only. (Boo.) Intimidating and time consuming, we know. Once again, we don't design our clothes yet, but once we do, we're making everything machine washable. In the meantime, there are many videos online which will show you how to hand wash your clothing, like this one. NOTE: If you're lazy like us, or don't have a lot of extra time (who does, lol), we've found we are able to wash most of our "hand wash items only" in the washing machine on the delicate/hand wash cycle. This is a tip from one friend to another, if you're willing to take the risk, and we are not responsible for any damages done to any items due to improper laundering. We also recommend hang drying your items, as it reduces the chance of shrinking, keeps colors vibrant for longer, and reduces the chance of the colors bleeding. "Dry clean only" items are not included in this lazy hack, and should be laundered how recommended by the manufacturer. If you questions about laundering, please email us at email@example.com.
